14.09.23 – ASIM Dedicated Conference on Simulation in Production
                and Logistics

 

In September 2023, Holger Brandl (SYSTEMA GmbH) presented some results of our joint research on this year's ASIM Dedicated Conference on Simulation in Production and Logistics which was held in Ilmenau, Germany. As part of SYSTEMA's work packages in the AISSI project, a hybrid production planning approach was developed. In his talk, Holger Brandl pointed out the advantages in combining dispatching and scheduling, thereby addressing batching decisions in a multi-workcenter environment. By using discrete event simulation, the presented approach was validated and promising results of the digital twin model were shown within a powerful BI frontend.
